The Nopiates Committee is hosting Hidden Dangers, a free community forum to help families recognize risky behaviors.
All are welcome to join us on Wednesday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. at SHAC Community Center located at 27 Lake Ave. in Averill Park. The ACCA Prevention Team along with Rensselaer County Student Assistance Program Counselors will provide an interactive and informative workshop for families.
The presentation will help caregivers identify and understand the signs and dangers of vaping, dabbing and other drug use, even if they don’t suspect that their child might be using. There will be an interactive demonstration of hiding places with the latest “Stash Merchandise” within a teen’s bedroom. Families will receive information on why and when to search, how items are used and suggestions on how to start a conversation with their loved one about concerns. Additional resources will be available.
